Abdulla al-Lafi, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council, and the U.N. Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, held a meeting in Tripoli today to discuss the U.N.’s new mediation plan, according to a statement by the council.
Stephanie Williams, the United Nations Advisor on Libya, met on Saturday with Dr. Belqassem Gzheit and Dr. Abdallah Jwain, both of whom are members of the High Council of State, to discuss the current political situation in Libya.
Abdullah Al-Lafi, deputy chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council, has voiced his support for the U.N. Advisor Stephanie Williams after the latter was accused of bias by the Libyan government, according to press reports.
