Tripoli – Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Austria’s OMV discussed the company’s exploration plans for 2025. This included a post-drilling evaluation of the B1-106/4 discovery. The talks also covered drilling results for well C1-106/4 in contract area 90/106.
The discussion occurred during an expanded technical meeting at the NOC’s headquarters. Attendees included the NOC’s Exploration Director and OMV’s Special Projects Manager in Libya. The company’s Exploration Manager and specialized technicians from both sides were also present. They reviewed technical results and exploration performance indicators.
OMV expressed its readiness to discuss lifting the force majeure status. This applies to contract areas NC74, NC29, and C102. The company will also work to fulfill its exploration commitments in these regions.
Planned commitments include conducting 2D and 3D seismic surveys. They also involve drilling new exploration wells. These efforts aim to enhance exploration activity and increase future production levels.
