Benghazi – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, held a meeting. It included Libyan Prime Minister Osama Hammad. Head of the Internal Security Agency Osama Al-Darsi was also present. Others attending were Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Marei Al-Barasi and Interior Ministry Undersecretary Faraj Qaim.
The meeting addressed the country’s liquidity and fuel crises. They reviewed several possible measures to resolve them. They also discussed coordination mechanisms between relevant authorities. This will help stabilize financial and service conditions. It will also ensure citizens’ basic needs are met.
The Commander-in-Chief stressed that citizens’ sustenance is a red line. He said it must not be compromised. He emphasized finding the true causes of the liquidity and fuel crises. He called for developing urgent and effective solutions. These must protect citizens’ interests and alleviate their suffering.
