Benghazi – The House of Representatives voted on Monday. This was during its official session. They approved filling vacant seats in the High National Elections Commission. This decision followed discussions on the session’s agenda items.
House of Representatives spokesman Abdullah Bilehiq made a statement. He said the session was chaired by Speaker Aguila Saleh. First Deputy Speaker Fawzi Al-Nuwairi was present. Second Deputy Misbah Douma also attended. Several important files were discussed during the meeting.
Bilehiq further reported the Council’s decision. They referred the High National Elections Commission budget. It went to the Planning, Finance, and General Budget Committee. The committee will provide its opinion. The budget will then be presented to the House on Tuesday.
He also noted another approval. The Council passed a draft law during the session. It increases the salaries of armed forces members.
The official spokesman explained the session was adjourned. It will resume on Tuesday. This is to complete discussions on remaining agenda items.
