Sirte – The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation is preparing to launch a conference to review the legislative amendments to the Labor Relations Law No. (12) of 2010, as part of the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation’s follow-up on the implementation of the ministry’s strategic plan.
The minister reviewed, during a meeting attended by the directors of the relevant offices and departments, the organizational steps and ongoing preparations for the conference, and issued his instructions to immediately begin all procedures to ensure the success of the event.
The conference is scheduled to be held in cooperation with the University of Sirte, and with the participation of the Ministry of Civil Service, a number of experts and researchers, and representatives of unions and labor federations, with the aim of developing the final recommendations for the proposed amendments to the Labor Relations Law, in preparation for their official referral to the House of Representatives.
The preparations also included forming scientific and preparatory committees, and launching electronic platforms and questionnaires to receive suggestions from experts, in a step aimed at enhancing the participation of all concerned parties in developing legislation related to labor relations.
