Benghazi – The Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Shuaib Yousef Al-Saber, affirmed this. A committee was tasked by the Chief of General Staff. He emphasized that the owning entity must bear its responsibilities. This is in accordance with international laws and regulations.
For his part, Major General Boubaker Al-Badri stated this. He is the Head of the Moral Guidance Office at the Naval Forces Staff Command. The tasked committee will proceed to the ship. They will be accompanied by a Russian team. Their purpose is to assess the situation. They will also take the necessary practical measures. Al-Badri added that naval patrol boats are continuously monitoring the tanker.
