Libya – The Women and Children’s Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives held a meeting chaired by the committee’s head, Intisar Shanib, with the attendance of committee members Fatima Al-Suwaei, Fatima Busaada, and Khadija Al-Zarrouq.
Preparations for the First Political Forum for Female Politicians
According to the parliament’s media office, the meeting discussed preparations for the first political forum for female politicians in Libya, which aims to enhance the participation of Libyan women in political life and expand their presence in decision-making positions.
Following Up on the Conditions of Women and Children in the South
The meeting also addressed a number of topics related to the conditions of women and children in the cities of southern Libya, in light of the challenges these areas are facing.
Upcoming Field Visit
During the meeting, the committee decided to conduct a visit to the cities of the south to directly assess the conditions of women and children and to identify their most prominent needs and the difficulties they face.
