Sirte – Members of the Sirte Sub-Union for Sports for Persons with Disabilities affirmed their continued support. They will enhance the participation of persons with disabilities in sports activities. This pledge was made during a holiday celebration. The event took place at Shat Marina Al-Shabab.
The union’s president and members attended the celebration. Coordinators of committees and sports for persons with disabilities were also present. Many persons with disabilities from the city participated. Attendees praised Sirte’s recent urban development and renaissance.
The family of the late sports figure, Sheikh Ali Aqilah Al-Tunisi, received a Shield of Loyalty. This honored his role in supporting sports for persons with disabilities in the city.
Engineer Salah Amqawi, a member of Sirte Municipal Council, attended the ceremony. Union President Abdul Jalil Abdullah was also present. Several other union members joined the event.
