Benghazi – A delegation from the Ministry of Health’s Supreme Emergency Committee visited Al-Kuweifiya Hospital this morning. They inspected the facility’s readiness. The delegation also checked its preparations for anticipated weather fluctuations in the coming hours. This visit aims to enhance the hospital’s capacity. It ensures swift and effective handling of any emergency cases.
Laila Al-Anezi, a pulmonary and tuberculosis specialist and Assistant Director of the hospital, explained the visit to Al-Anbaa newspaper. She stated the visit monitors the hospital’s approved emergency plan implementation. It also follows the recommendations of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health. Al-Anezi mentioned forming an internal emergency committee. This committee includes heads of vital departments. It also includes the first aid and emergency department.
Al-Anezi added that the committee has prepared a comprehensive agenda. This agenda addresses any potential emergency. It includes organizing shift schedules for medical and auxiliary staff. This ensures continuous health service delivery. The committee also assessed the hospital’s stock of medicines and medical equipment. They confirmed its readiness. Furthermore, alternative plans were developed to address any potential shortages. This guarantees rapid response and protects patient safety.
