Top U.S. diplomat in Libya, Chargé d’Affaires Jeremy Berndt, met with Acting National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman Masoud Suleiman in Tripoli to discuss expanding bilateral business cooperation.
The meeting, announced by the U.S. Embassy on its official X account, focused on supporting the NOC’s strategic plans to revitalize Libya’s crucial energy sector.
Central to the talks were concrete ways to help the North African nation strengthen its oil and gas infrastructure and increase production levels.
“A strong NOC is essential to create more prosperity and economic opportunities for the Libyan people and their international partners,” Berndt stated following the meeting.
