UN Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, met on Monday in Tunis with the Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard, where they emphasized the need to maintain calm on the ground in the North African country.
“It was great to catch up with Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Ms. Isabelle Savard yesterday evening in Tunis. We emphasized the need to maintain calm on the ground in Libya,” Williams tweeted.
“I noted the degree of consensus between the HoR and HCS, while observing that the 2.8 million Libyans who registered to vote have a right to demand the production of national elections on a sound constitutional basis and electoral laws,” she added.
