UN Advisor on Libya meets with the two women presidential candidates
UN Secretary-General’s Special Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, said she met with the two Libyan women candidates for presidential elections, where they discussed their visions for the country and supporting the electoral process.
“Proud to have met with the two women candidates for Presidential elections, Ms. Laila Ben Khalifa and Ms. Hunaida Al Madi Tumia. We had a substantive and stimulating conversation,” Williams tweeted on Monday.
“We also discussed their visions for the country, including a strong push to advance the electoral process,” she added.
