The UN Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, was in Ankara on Friday where she met with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister, Sedat Önal to discuss political developments in Libya, including the electoral process.
Williams described in a tweet her meeting with the Turkish officials in Ankara as fruitful, referring to the political developments in Libya and options for moving forward with the electoral process.
“We stressed the need to reinforce the spirit of compromise among Libyan actors for the collective good of the country,” the UN diplomat added.
