Islamabad – Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the United States and Iran have reached a peace agreement after intensive talks. In a post on X, Sharif said both sides declared an immediate and permanent halt to all military operations, including in Lebanon. He added that an official signing ceremony will take place in Switzerland next Friday, June 19.
U.S. President Donald Trump also announced that the peace agreement with Iran has been completed, stating that the two sides reached an understanding after extensive negotiations. Trump confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz is now open and that the U.S. blockade has been lifted. He called for the resumption of energy supplies.
