TheMan-made river Project Implementation and Management Authority announced on Tuesday that water production rates have increased to one million cubic metres per day from the Sirir and Tazerbo fields, for the first time in more than five years.
This achievement came thanks to the direct support of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief, General Saddam Khalifa.
This step is the result of the emergency plan prepared by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the continuous field follow-up, in addition to the efforts of the operation and maintenance departments and emergency teams that were able to maintain the pumps and rehabilitate the stopped wells.
The Chairman explained that the financial, logistical and moral support provided by the General Command played a key role in achieving this achievement, which ensures the continuity of water supply to various regions, extending thanks and appreciation to the General Command and the national elements that contributed to achieving this task.
