Zliten – The Al-Asmariya Islamic University concluded its activities. This was the second day of its third annual scientific conference for university students. The conference was held Monday evening. It involved the discussion of 157 peer-reviewed scientific papers. These papers were divided into morning and evening sessions.
The conference sessions covered multiple themes. These included humanities. They also covered Islamic and legal sciences. Economic sciences were discussed. Psychological, educational, and social sciences were featured. Computer science and information technology were also part of the agenda.
Researcher Rima Ammar Ghamouqa presented her paper. She participated in the humanities section. Her research focused on narrative theory. It examined the theories of Roland Barthes and A.J. Greimas. She reviewed the conceptual and methodological foundations of their components in narrative text. She aimed to clarify the ability of these concepts to analyze Arabic narrative discourse.
The first day of the conference saw 60 scientific papers discussed. More than 200 scientific papers are participating in the conference overall. These papers are from 22 colleges affiliated with the university. These colleges are located across various Libyan cities. The conference is held under the slogan ‘From Excellence… to Leadership’. It is organized and supervised by the university’s Research and Scientific Studies Center.
