Al-Ruqaybi commends Benghazi Municipality's support for athletes with disabilities

Benghazi – Khaled Al-Ruqaibi leads the Libyan Paralympic Committee. He praised Benghazi Municipality’s support for athletes with disabilities. Al-Ruqaibi thanked Mayor Ezzeddine Al-Gharabi. He also thanked the municipal council members. They welcomed the athletes at Benina International Airport. The athletes returned from the Libyan Athletics Championship.

Al-Ruqaibi spoke to the Libyan News Agency. He stated that local leaders welcomed the athletes. This presence significantly boosted the athletes’ morale. He confirmed the initiative shows the municipality’s true interest. The municipality supports this group. It empowers them in various sports events.

He added that such initiatives boost the status of sports for people with disabilities. They highlight their abilities and potential within society. He stressed the importance of municipal support for sports activities. This support is crucial for integrating this group into the community.

The Paralympic Committee head affirmed this scene. It highlights cooperation and integration. This exists between sports and service institutions. He praised the institutional cohesion. This cohesion serves Libyan sports’ interests. It also enhances the value of achievements by champions in competitions.

Al-Ruqaibi concluded his statement. He emphasized the Paralympic Committee’s commitment. They will continue working and coordinating with official bodies. This will ensure more successes. He extended his appreciation to the athletes. He also thanked the Benghazi Municipal Council. This was for their continuous support to this creative community segment.
