A miscellaneous report published by the American news site “Fox Gaming News” highlighted the readiness of the Middle East and North Africa region for a premier entertainment and electronic event in the field of digital game development.
A free online Arab conference
According to the report, the event is the “Arab Game Conference 2025,” which will be held entirely online on the 29th of this November. It aims to provide mentorship and professional guidance to aspiring game developers in the region. The report indicated that this year’s edition will be completely free, encouraging creators, students, and gaming professionals from various countries in the region, including those from Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco, to connect, learn, and showcase their talents.
Panel discussions and extensive professional opportunities
The report explained that the 2025 edition of the conference will include more panel discussions and professional opportunities than ever before. Participants will be able to connect with prominent figures such as Leyla Johnson, CEO and Creative Director of Mohawk Games; Joseph Azzam, Senior Artist at Romero Games; and Yasmin Halawani, Data Engineer at Epic Games. The report quoted Johnson as saying: “The Arab Game Conference is an essential event for developers in the region, given the scarcity of events that cater to the needs of Arab communities. It is meticulously organized and provides everything a developer needs in terms of positivity and creativity to grow and connect.”
New awards, employment, and training opportunities
The report revealed that the organizers are preparing to launch the “Game Awards” initiative to celebrate the creativity and innovation of the region’s developers, with details of the award categories and the judging panel to be announced soon. Participants will also be able to attend resume and portfolio review sessions, join the “Chat with a Pro” program for individual mentorship, as well as publisher review meetings to pitch games and receive guidance on funding and releases.
Free support and accessible education for all
The report added that through the event, the organizers aim to support the game development sector in the region through free education and support, making the conference a key platform for Arab developers since its launch in 2020. The report concluded by noting that the conference will include lectures in Arabic and mentoring opportunities for students, developers, and professionals, emphasizing that registration is free and open to everyone in the Middle East and North Africa region.
