High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Board Member Abubakr Marda, accompanied by the Director of the Awareness and Communication Department, Khaled Al-Mousi, held a series of meetings in the city of Benghazi to discuss avenues for cooperation in spreading electoral awareness and enhancing community participation.
The Commission’s delegation met with the Secretary-General of the Red Crescent, Marai Abdulhamid Al-Dersi, and the Director of the Media and Communication Department, Bahaa Al-Kawash. They discussed mechanisms for implementing field awareness campaigns and utilizing volunteer teams to deliver the Commission’s messages to various segments of society.
In another meeting with University President Ezz-Eddin Al-Dersi, Vice President for Environmental Affairs and Community Service Yahya Al-Hassnouni, and President of the Student Union Ahmed Al-Senussi, and in the presence of the Coordinator of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Benghazi Electoral Management Office, Salah Al-Jarboo, aspects of cooperation in electoral education and organizing campaigns targeting youth and students were discussed.
Abubakr Marda affirmed that the Commission places great importance on partnerships with national institutions, especially in Benghazi, noting that the success of the electoral process depends on citizen awareness and their role in decision-making. For his part, Khaled Al-Mousi explained that the meetings are part of a plan to intensify cooperation with various sectors to ensure that awareness messages reach all segments of society and to enhance participation in upcoming elections.
