Commander of Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Colonel Omar al-Jadid, met with the Commander of 166 Battalion from Misrata, Muhammad al-Hussan, in al-Shuwairif town regarding joint agreement on securing al-Shuwairif-al-Sidada road in the Western region.

It is worth mentioning that al-Jadid had addressed a letter to the General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, proposing the formation of a joint force with Misrata forces to secure the road linking al-Shuwairif and Al-Sadada, known as the River Road, in order to secure traffic and deliver fuel and basic needs to the Southern region (Fezzan).
