Washington – The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced its forces conducted 10 air raids. These raids targeted over 30 ISIS targets in Syria. The operations took place between February 3 and 12.
CENTCOM issued a statement on platform X on Saturday. It stated the strikes targeted ISIS infrastructure and weapons storage sites. Precision munitions were utilized. These were launched from fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Drones also participated.
The objective is to maintain continuous military pressure on ISIS elements. The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced “Operation Eagle Eye” last December. This operation included strikes targeting dozens of ISIS targets in Syria. Several allies participated.
These included Jordan. The action was in response to an attack on joint Syrian-American forces. This attack occurred near Palmyra.
