Misrata – The Banking Forum for Business Technology in Misrata concluded yesterday, Tuesday, after three days of specialized discussions and sessions that brought together a number of experts and officials from the financial and banking sectors, alongside representatives from legislative bodies and international institutions.
The final sessions addressed the role of artificial intelligence in developing banking services, digital transformation, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and empowering electronic payment systems, with a presentation of successful regional experiences in financial technology to enhance financial inclusion.
Participants stressed the need to update the legislative framework, enhance investments in technological infrastructure, and develop national competencies in cybersecurity and smart banking systems.
The forum concluded with the distribution of awards and honors, and the announcement of a field visit program to learn about the operational mechanisms of banking institutions, with a recommendation to hold the forum annually to enhance coordination, discuss challenges, and explore the future of the country’s financial sector.
