The Administrative Control Authority suspended the General Manager of Al-Madar Al-Jadid Company. This decision was made for investigation purposes.
The Head of the Administrative Control Authority issued the suspension. The manager also oversaw the company’s branch in the Central Region. He serves as an advisor at the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Holding Company. Furthermore, he is an assistant labor attaché at the Libyan Embassy in Sudan.
The suspension followed observations and violations. These were detected among some telecommunications sector officials. The issues relate to breaching governance principles. They also involve conflicts of interest. Violations of Law No. 8 of 2014, concerning the national ID number, were cited.
The Authority clarified the legal basis for its decision. The suspension was enacted to facilitate the investigation. This action complies with Article 31 of Law No. 20 of 2013. This law established the Administrative Control Authority. It includes its amendments and executive regulations.
