The Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Misbah Douma, welcomed the briefing by the envoy of the UN Secretary-General for support in Libya.
Douma added that the briefing reflects the efforts of the international community to support the political process in the country.
The Second Deputy Speaker explained that the briefing came despite the ambiguity and lack of clarity in some aspects of the political track, and the absence of a specific timeline, expressing hope for achieving tangible progress.
He pointed out that the House of Representatives will pin its hopes and expectations on what will be done in the coming period, while awaiting the date of October 22, 2025.
