Sirte – Sirte Gulf International Airport has witnessed final preparations ahead of its official opening in the coming period. The Director General of the National Development Agency, Mahmoud Al-Farjani, accompanied by a number of specialized department directors and engineers, monitored the progress of work and final outfitting at the airport.
The Libyan News Agency correspondent in Sirte confirmed that this tour is part of the final arrangements for the airport’s opening in the coming days, noting that the National Development Agency is overseeing all stages of maintenance, expansion, development, and equipping, with direct support from the General Command.
It is noteworthy that the project to develop Sirte Gulf International Airport is considered a vital project that contributes to strengthening the air transport infrastructure in the region and supports the economic and social development in the city of Sirte and neighboring areas.
