Peter Millett, the former British ambassador to Libya, criticized on Saturday the decision of former Libyan Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha to hire an American lobbying firm to advocate for him in Washington.
In a tweet, Millett indicated that Bashagha is out of touch with the Libyan people, as he questioned how much understanding the former minister has of Libyan voters.
“Really? To lobby whom? The voters are in Libya, not Washington,” Millett said. “How much understanding do they have of Libyan voters?”.
