Chairman of the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, Sunday announced that the Mabrouk oilfield is expected to resume production this year.
Mabrouk Oil Operations Company was able to rehabilitate the field after it was destroyed as a result of wars, Bengdara said during a meeting of the Company in Benghazi.
The meeting highlighted the company’s activities in 2023, including the successful rehabilitation of the Mabrouk field, its performance indicators, and key projects planned for 2024.
Bengdara said that early production rates of 25,000 barrels per day are under review, with an expected production resumption this year.
