Malta to open new consular section in Misurata

The Maltese Ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, unveiled plans for the imminent opening of the consular section of the Maltese embassy in the city of Misrata, further strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations.

In a meeting with Khaled Souissi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation of the Government of National Unity, Ambassador Saliba discussed various initiatives to enhance cooperation and collaboration.

One significant development highlighted was the upcoming organisation of a business forum scheduled for January 2024. This forum aims to foster partnerships and collaboration across multiple sectors between Malta and Libya.

According to the media report, the Maltese ambassador also expressed enthusiasm about the growing relationship between the two countries, emphasising the importance of expanding collaborations in various fields.
