Ministry of Education organizes nationwide cross-country race

Ministry of Education organizes nationwide cross-country race

Benghazi – The School Activity Department of the Libyan Ministry of Education continues preparations. It is launching the nationwide School Cross Country Race. This is part of the annual school activity plan. The Minister of Education sponsors the event. The Military Sports Federation supports it. Al-Shirian Paints Company is a contributor. It is also in cooperation with the Athletics Sub-Federation. The Al-Abyar School Activity Office is also involved.

The competition will take place on Thursday morning, January 29. It will be held in the Al-Abyar North Forest. Around 180 students will participate. They represent various regions across Libya. The event will feature multiple races. These are for students of different age groups. It includes primary and intermediate education levels. The goal is to encourage students to practice sports. It aims to develop their physical fitness. It also fosters a sense of sportsmanship.

The School Activity Department aims to raise awareness. It highlights the importance of sports in schools. It encourages students to participate positively in sports events. This helps build a healthy and active generation. This generation can actively participate in society. The competition also seeks to showcase students’ abilities. It promotes fair competition. It develops their physical and mental skills. It strengthens team spirit and a sense of belonging. This applies to their school and region. It offers an enjoyable and enriching educational sports experience.

This initiative is part of the Ministry’s strategy. It supports extracurricular activities in schools. It aims to create an integrated educational environment. This environment combines academic learning and physical activity. It ensures the development of students’ skills. It enhances their physical and psychological health. It also motivates them. It encourages them to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle from a young age.
