Marzuq – The Police Clinic opened yesterday, Monday. It is affiliated with the Security Directorate in Marzuq. The Libyan Red Crescent, Marzuq branch, contributed significantly. They helped equip and operate the health facility.
Major General Osama Owaidan, Marzuq Security Director, attended the opening. Mayors of Marzuq basin municipalities participated. Directors from various institutions and departments were present. Police officers and non-commissioned officers also attended. Several city elders and dignitaries were there.
The Marzuq Security Directorate contributed significantly. They collaborated with Marzuq General Hospital. The Marzuq Health Clinics Complex also cooperated. The Red Crescent branch management provided support. They helped secure several specialized laboratory medical devices. They also equipped the observation and emergency rooms. This ensures continuous provision of ambulance services. Services adhere to professional and medical standards.
Free medical examinations were conducted on opening day. These included blood pressure measurements. Blood sugar levels were also checked. Libyan Red Crescent Marzuq volunteers supervised these activities. They also actively participated. This initiative aims to boost health awareness. It serves police personnel and the local community.
The clinic has allocated an office for the Libyan Red Crescent. This is for the Marzuq branch. The office will facilitate volunteer work. It will help provide health services. It will also oversee humanitarian activities within the clinic.
