Al-Abyar – The Ministry of Health’s Higher Advisory Committee for Diabetes and Endocrinology patients held its second meeting. It took place at the Diabetes Center in Al-Abyar. Moahanad Al-Uraibi, Director-General of the National Center for Diabetes Diagnosis and Treatment in the Eastern Region, attended. This meeting followed up on the outcomes of the first preparatory meeting. It also aimed to assess the status of health centers nationwide.
Shaaban Bushaala, head of the center’s media office, spoke to the Libyan News Agency. He said the meeting completed previously discussed points. They worked to establish a clear regulatory mechanism for monitoring diabetes centers. This covers both the Eastern and Southern regions. This ensures improved performance levels. It also develops healthcare services for patients.
Bushaala indicated the committee would directly supervise the centers. This involves monitoring their medical, technical, and administrative needs. They will identify shortcomings hindering workflow. These issues will be addressed in coordination with relevant health authorities. The goal is to ensure continuous service delivery with higher efficiency.
He added that a key outcome was the agreement to form subcommittees within diabetes centers. These subcommittees will be responsible for regular field monitoring. They will prepare detailed reports on actual needs. These reports will then be submitted to the Higher Committee for appropriate action. This aims to enhance response speed and reduce operational challenges.
He affirmed these meetings are part of a comprehensive plan. The plan aims to organize work within diabetes centers. It also unifies monitoring mechanisms across different regions. This will improve the quality of health services. It will also enhance medical care for patients. This is especially crucial amidst the challenges facing the health sector.
