The Public Prosecution has ordered the pretrial detention of two suspects following their attack on the headquarters of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya with a rocket-propelled projectile. The investigator confronted the two suspects with the evidence presented by the arresting authority and verified that the findings of the Communications and Informatics Department at the Attorney General’s Office were consistent with the facts attributed to them.
After recording the suspects’ responses to the facts and legal characterizations, the investigator issued the pretrial detention order. Evidence gathering and investigation procedures are to be completed in accordance with established regulations.
