The National Development Agency, under the supervision of the General Command, has continued its efforts to revive the country’s strategic agricultural projects, with the (87) agricultural project in Al-Dabwat in the southern region emerging as one of the most promising projects.
Work on installing and connecting the water network to feed approximately 1,800 palm trees has been completed in the project, bringing their branches and fronds back to life, signaling a new start for agriculture and strengthening the pillars of the national economy.
The project is currently undergoing qualitative development and expansion studies aimed at planting palm seedlings of various varieties, with a focus on selecting the highest quality and most suitable types for the climatic environment in southern Libya, ensuring the sustainability of this blessed resource and laying a strong foundation for achieving agricultural and economic self-sufficiency.
