Tripoli – The Traffic Investigation Department of the Tripoli Security Directorate announced on Saturday the seizure of three wanted cars over the past few days for their involvement in hit-and-run accidents, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance traffic security and safety in the city.
In an official statement, the Directorate explained that the first seizure was a black Chevrolet Optra, wanted in a hit-and-run accident. The vehicle was impounded and referred to the competent authorities for necessary legal action.
The second seizure was a yellow Hyundai Avante, wanted in a previous traffic accident. The car and its driver were apprehended and referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal procedures to be taken.
In the third seizure, a black Kia Cadenza was impounded. It was wanted by the Hay Al-Andalus traffic department in connection with a property damage accident, and the necessary legal measures were taken against it.
Notably, last Friday, the Tripoli Security Directorate seized four other cars, including two stolen vehicles and two others wanted in traffic accident cases. They were referred to the competent authorities for legal action against those involved.
These campaigns are part of an ongoing action plan aimed at confronting serious traffic violations and dealing firmly with vehicles involved in accidents, with the goal of enhancing traffic safety and protecting the lives of citizens.
