The center also clarified this. Its emergency department, specifically orthopedics and surgery, received 43 varied injuries. Three of these patients were admitted for further treatment. The remaining cases received necessary care. They were discharged after their health stabilized.
Medical and paramedical teams continue working around the clock. They are addressing the weather’s consequences. Storm-related cases are increasing. The center praised the health personnel’s efforts. They are managing these exceptional circumstances effectively.
An emergency meeting was held to enhance readiness. This was the second daily meeting for the Climate Change Emergency Committee. Faraj Al-Jali, Director-General of Tobruk Medical Center, attended. Adnan bin Khayal, Director of Medical Affairs, also participated. They reviewed the latest situation developments. A set of measures was adopted. This ensures efficient service delivery continues.
The Medical Affairs Department stressed the importance of doctor presence. This applies to all departments, especially emergency, urgent care, and pediatrics. Technicians must also be present. This ensures uninterrupted work. Comfort facilities will be provided for on-duty staff.
Essential medical supplies were emphasized. This includes masks, oxygen devices, and suffocation medications. Oxygen and fuel supplies for generators were also secured.
