On Thursday, Sirte Gulf International Airport witnessed the launch of its first international flight following its reconstruction, rehabilitation, development, and equipping under the supervision of the National Development Agency, and with the support and patronage of the General Command, the sponsor of the major national project.
The flight departed from Sirte to Jeddah Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, carrying 129 Umrah pilgrims and a child.
The Agency affirmed that this step embodies its efforts to restore the airport to its vital role in air traffic and reflects the success of national projects in supporting infrastructure and strategic facilities in Libya.
