Strategic partnership between University of Benghazi and Khalifa International Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs

Benghazi – The President of Benghazi University, Dr. Ezz El-Din El-Darsi, met with Mohammed El-Majbri. El-Majbri is the Executive Director of the Khalifa International Humanitarian Foundation. They discussed prospects for developing a strategic partnership. This partnership aims to effectively connect the two institutions. It will focus on scientific research and humanitarian work.

The meeting included launching a research program. It is aimed at students from the Faculties of Economics and Social Sciences. The program will focus on studying poverty and fragility issues in Libya. It will use precise scientific frameworks and field methodologies. This will contribute to producing actionable applied knowledge.

The Executive Director of the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation affirmed the institution’s commitment. They will adopt the best practical solutions and recommendations resulting from these studies. They will also work to transform them into tangible development projects. These projects will improve the living conditions of target groups.

The meeting also reviewed an ambitious project. This project aims to attract postgraduate students from British universities. They would spend an academic period at Benghazi University. This would run in parallel with their involvement in the foundation’s field and research programs.

The meeting concluded by emphasizing continued coordination and consultative visits. These will occur between the two institutions. They are part of a comprehensive action plan. This plan seeks to integrate constructive proposals into an integrated national framework. This framework supports education and scientific research development. It enhances the university’s contribution to addressing societal issues. This stems from a firm commitment to serving Libyan citizens. It also aims to solidify professional and humanitarian values.
