The Kufra Security Directorate announced the arrest of two expatriates of Sudanese nationality on charges of stealing a farm located within the city limits, following a report filed by the farm’s owner about the theft.
A statement issued by the directorate explained that members of the Investigation and Inquiry Department immediately began investigation and field search procedures upon receiving the report. They were able to arrest one of the two suspects after gathering evidence and initial data related to the incident.
The statement indicated that a number of stolen items belonging to the farm owner were found in the suspect’s possession. During interrogation, he confessed to committing the crime with the participation of another person of the same nationality, prompting security forces to move and successfully arrest his accomplice shortly after.
The Kufra Security Directorate confirmed that the necessary legal measures have been taken against the accused, and they have been referred to the competent authorities to complete the investigations, praising the vigilance of the investigation officers and their swift response in uncovering the circumstances of the incident and recovering the stolen goods.
