Libya’s House of Representatives will convene a session next Monday to review and discuss the responses made by the government during yesterday’s parliamentary questioning, House spokesman Abdullah Blehaq said on Wednesday.
The Government of National Unity did not commit equal distribution of sovereign positions between Libya’s three main region, Aguila Saleh, Speaker of the House of Representatives, said on Wednesday.
The Government of National Unity has failed to comply with the technical observations made by the House of Representatives regarding the budget, Abdel Salam Nassiyah, a member of parliament, told the House on Wednesday.
Khaled Al-Meshri, chairman of Libya’s High Council of State (HCS), and Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, met in Rome today, where they held talks on the upcoming general elections in December 24, as well as, implementing ceasefire agreement.
Spokesman of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Abdulla Blaihiq, announced on Tuesday the suspension of the House’s session devoted to questioning the government until tomorrow due to the government’s failure to appear on time for the session.

1,272 new people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 22 percent of the infection rate, according to a Tuesday report by the National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC). The center also said that 20 people died of the virus, while 1,800 have recovered during the same reporting period.
