Telecommunications Holding Company discusses governance of the digital sector and preparation for World Telecommunication Day

Benghazi – Dr. Hafez Al-Hamri chaired an extensive meeting. He is the Chairman of the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Holding Company. The meeting took place at the company’s headquarters. Attendees included the Economic Controller.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture was present. The Director General of Exhibitions from the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences participated.
The Director General of the Chamber of Commerce also attended. The Secretary of the Holding Company’s Board of Directors was also there.

The meeting addressed boosting cooperation. This cooperation is between the telecommunications sector and economic institutions. Discussions focused on two main areas. The first area was digital sector governance. This involves creating advanced mechanisms. These mechanisms will regulate sector companies.

They will also manage the registration of their branches. This initiative aims to establish an organized and transparent investment environment. Preparations for World Telecommunication Day were also discussed.
These events will align with a national vision. This vision reflects Libya’s technical development.
It will highlight the sector’s role.

The sector supports development pathways. It also drives digital transformation. Participants emphasized integrating roles. This integration is between the telecommunications sector and economic entities.
It supports the private sector. It accelerates digital transformation. Furthermore, it enhances the investment climate in technical fields.
