The General Administration of Security Operations of the Libyan government confirmed that the Urban Reorganization Committee, headed by Major General Jamal Al-Amami, is continuing its field efforts to combat fuel smuggling, as part of its ongoing plan to enforce order and eliminate smuggling networks that drain state resources.
Al-Amami issued strict instructions to deal firmly and without leniency with anyone proven to be involved in fuel smuggling operations.
He stressed that the next phase will witness stringent measures against violators, especially after the stabilization of fuel supplies in the southern region.
The committee chairman also affirmed that the security and stability of cities and areas in the south require everyone’s cooperation, calling on citizens to report any suspicious activities that contribute to weakening the national economy or threatening societal security.
