Tripoli – The Libyan Football Federation urged Premier League clubs to uphold fair competition this season. They must fulfill their national, sporting, and ethical responsibilities. The federation firmly rejects any practices that could damage the competition’s reputation.
The federation issued an official statement on its page. It will not allow any behavior that infringes on club or fan rights. The statement warned against unlawful attempts to influence match results or team standings. This includes deliberate withdrawals or negligent performance. Such acts aim to manipulate outcomes or gain unfair advantages for one team.
The statement stressed that any proven manipulation will incur maximum penalties. Intentional influence on the competition’s course is also forbidden. All penalties stipulated in the regulations will be applied without exception.
