Benghazi – The Eastern Region branch of the Libyan Olympic Academy concluded an advanced efficiency course. The course was for medical escorts in sports clubs. It was organized at Al-Hilal Club in Benghazi. Medical escorts from various Libyan cities participated. The course collaborated with the Medical and Anti-Doping Committee of the Libyan Football Federation. It also partnered with the federation’s educational administration.
The course adopted a new training methodology. It focused on an interactive team-based collective learning strategy. The goal was to develop participants’ skills. It aimed to enhance their professional competency in sports medicine. Emphasis was placed on athlete safety. First aid and rescue within clubs were also key areas.
Dr. Faraj Noujoum, the Academy’s Executive Director and course manager, stated the course concluded. The closing was on Wednesday evening, December 17, 2025. He indicated it targeted one of the most vital aspects of sports. The course contributed to providing modern scientific information. This information enhances the professional performance of medical escorts.
Professor Dr. Issam Al-Dinaa attended the closing day. He supervised two training sessions. These sessions focused on diagnosing sports injuries. They also covered kinetic rehabilitation. Advanced theoretical lectures were also presented. He confirmed that the collective training method and interactive discussion distinguished the course. It surpassed previous courses in terms of quality and organization.
Al-Dinaa noted the course enhanced medical escorts’ skills. These skills are for accompanying various types of sports teams. He expressed his gratitude to the Academy. He also thanked Al-Hilal Club for hosting the event. He commended the excellent organization.
At the course’s conclusion, certificates were distributed to participants. The sponsoring company was honored. Al-Hilal Club was also recognized for hosting the course activities.
