The National Team begins its training in Benghazi in preparation for the North African qualifiers for juniors

Benghazi – The U-17 national junior team began intensive training. This took place in Benghazi on Saturday. The training is part of preparations for the North Africa qualifiers. These qualifiers lead to the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations. Participating delegations also arrived in the city.

Preparations continue in Benghazi for the tournament’s launch. The event runs from March 24 to April 5. The organizing committee from the North African Football Union arrived. Teams from Tunisia and Morocco also arrived. These arrivals are part of the final preparations.

The Egyptian national team delegation joined the participating teams. The list includes Libya, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. Strong competition is expected for qualification spots.

The national team’s training began after its return last Thursday. They had been at a training camp in Tunisia. The technical staff focused on physical fitness. They also developed the players’ technical aspects. This ensures the team’s optimal readiness. The qualifiers will be held on home soil.

These qualifiers are crucial for participating teams. They aim to qualify for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations 2026. The qualifiers also provide a chance to discover young talent. Organizers ensure professional standards for stadiums. Training facilities are also being prepared. This guarantees the tournament’s highest level of operation.
