Beirut – The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon has risen. The aggression began on March 2, 2026. The number of martyrs has reached 1,368. This includes 125 children and 91 women. New figures were published by the Ministry of Public Health in its daily report. They show 4,138 people were injured. This includes 433 children and 488 women.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced five citizens were martyred on Friday. Fifteen others were injured. This resulted from Israeli aircraft and artillery shelling. Several Lebanese areas were targeted. The shelling impacted 17 areas, mostly in the south. Al-Shiaytiyah village was subjected to a raid. One citizen was martyred and four others were injured there. Another citizen was martyred in a raid on Burj Qallawiyah.
In Sahmar village, eastern Lebanon, occupation aircraft targeted a procession of worshippers. This happened as they exited a mosque. Two citizens were martyred. Eleven others were injured. A large number of homes and commercial establishments were destroyed in Sreifa village due to the shelling.
Israeli attacks also targeted several areas in southern Lebanon. These included Bint Jbeil city. The towns of Ansar, Hadatha, Dibbin, and Jouya were also hit. Kfar and Al-Ramadiyah villages were affected. Eastern regions of Lebanon also faced several raids. This included Sahmar village and Beirut’s southern suburb.
The Israeli aggression has continued for over a month. It has caused widespread destruction to infrastructure. This damage affects the targeted areas. This exacerbates the humanitarian situation in Lebanon.
