Tripoli – The Central Bank of Libya announced an update. By March, 1.585 million public sector employees had benefited from the ‘Your Salary Instantly’ project. This represents 72% of all 2.2 million public sector employees. Their salary payment authorizations were transferred to commercial banks. Payments are now processed through the digital system.
The bank confirmed this in a statement. The project aims to enhance transparency. It also facilitates timely salary access for beneficiaries. The bank urged sectors not yet enrolled to join the initiative. This is important for preserving public funds. It also ensures employees’ rights.
Citizens can track salary execution status. They can do this via the citizens’ platform. Commercial bank statistics are also available. These are accessible through a dedicated electronic link.
The bank also confirmed ongoing project development. This includes automating complaint reception. It aims to resolve unimplemented salary payments. This is done in coordination with the Ministry of Finance. These efforts support digital transformation in the financial sector. They also improve disbursement procedure efficiency.
