Tripoli – The National Center for Disease Control has activated decentralized community health emergency operations centers in high-risk cities. This is part of a plan to enhance national health security. It shifts from a centralized response model to rapid field response. This follows an intensive five-day training program. The Epidemiology Department at the center organized it.
It was in coordination with the Technical Cooperation Office. Africa CDC also partnered in the program. The training aimed to boost the readiness of technical staff and partners. This ensures immediate intervention during health emergencies. The training focused on global tools and standards for crisis management.
These included the Incident Management System (IMS). IMS unifies the organizational structure. Risk Assessment tools were also covered. Responsibility matrices (RACI & DACI) were included. These ensure clear roles. They prevent conflicts within decentralized operations rooms.
The program saw integrated field efforts with key partners. These partners included the National Center for Disaster and Crisis Management. They also included the Ambulance and Emergency Service.
The Emergency Medicine and Support Center participated. The Ministry of Health’s Health Emergency Department was also involved. The goal is to enable branches to manage field operations independently and effectively. It aims to reduce response times. It also ensures accurate epidemiological information flow to protect the community.
