The U.N. Special Envoy to Libya, Stephanie Williams, spoke via phone yesterday with Matlta’s Foreign Minister Evarist Bartolo to discuss the situation in Libya.
Williams welcomed “Malta’s unwavering support for the work of the UN in Libya and for the need to put the national elections back on a firm track,” according to a statement by the UN envoy via Twitter.
“We also stressed the need for intensified and coordinated efforts at the regional and international level in support of the Libyan people,” she added.
