Zueitina Oil Company has announced its readiness to begin connecting the Al-Fargh field to gas pipeline 42, as part of efforts to enhance the transportation of natural gas through the national grid.
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) stated that the joint technical team from the Sirte and Zueitina companies conducted a field visit last Thursday to the 91.5-kilometer station, the point from which the Al-Fargh field will be connected to the gas pipeline.
The visit also included the Al-Sahel and 103 fields, operated by Zueitina Company, in preparation for commencing survey work and preparing the necessary drawings to connect the field to gas pipeline 42.
The Corporation noted that the Chairman of the NOC’s Board of Directors, Masoud Suleiman, issued Resolution No. 270, which mandates a preliminary assessment of the gas pipeline in preparation for transporting quantities of gas through this important line.
This step is part of the efforts to develop the oil sector’s infrastructure in Libya, which aims to enhance the capacity to transport natural gas to various regions, thereby serving the national economy.
