On Sunday, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the House of Representatives in Benghazi, which included the head of the House’s monitoring committee, Zayed Hidaya, and the head of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Issa al-Araibi, while the head of the Planning, Finance and Budget Committee, Omar Tantoush, participated via video conference.
The meeting came to discuss the letter sent by the Office of Presidential Affairs regarding the conditions of the electricity network, in addition to reviewing the most prominent obstacles and challenges facing the work of the General Electricity Company, and researching ways to address them, with an agreement to refer the recommendations issued to the competent authorities.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of continued follow-up was emphasised, and it was decided to hold a series of upcoming meetings to follow up on this vital file.
